Cosmetic Surgery

Before you embark on major invasive surgical procedures such as rhinoplasty (nose jobs), breast reduction or augmentation or pinnaplasty (correction of bat ears), or abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), it is important to be aware that things can go wrong.
Obviously this doesn't happen often, otherwise the popularity of cosmetic surgery would promptly cease and surgeons go out of business.

Unfortunately, when it does happen the outcome can be visually dramatic and it is important to have a record of how you looked before surgery.

Weight Loss (Bariatric) Surgery

It is important to record how you look before undertaking this procedure since the results are extremely subjective and frequently open to dispute.

Cosmetic Therapies

Simple therapies including injections to counteract wrinkles using muscle paralysis, plumping or fillers, laser surgery or other minimally invasive cosmetic treatments can and do go wrong even to celebrities.
If you are planning to undergo one of these procedures, it is worth considering having photographs taken before the process, so that you have a record of how you look before treatment.

Many therapists take their own photographs, often for promotional reasons, so that good results can be used to promote their services, on occasions without the client's permission.

If something goes wrong they may not be so happy to release the images for you to use as evidence in any damages claim.

For that reason it is in your interest to have both, before and after, pictures taken as reassurance and maybe to show friends and relatives how good you look now.
